Why it works
The exact opening claim shares shot 1 with a monumental overhead craft for 95 frames before the first cut, giving the viewer time to grasp the impossible scale. Shot 5's measured ×0.55 pullout sustains the crossing through several narrated clauses; the hard cut inside shot 9 at frame 864 turns an abstract light-map into a concrete mapped system. The final comparison moves from the lone figure in shot 10 to a fleet in shot 11, whose 22-frame focus pull closes the image without a fade.
