Why it works
The narrator anchors the stakes with a date at 0:05 and a promised regional consequence by 0:40. Colour-coded maps, year strips and unit tokens carry the chronology through 137 measured in-shot picture changes, while illustrated and 3D battle scenes restore human scale. The top replay span at 5:41.6–5:53.4 lands on a busy map sequence with changing campaign markers.
