Why it works
A moving vehicle cold open holds the first 11 seconds before the narrator begins, then a regional map establishes the geography by 0:13. The largely continuous map remains active through 186 internal graphic changes (about 31 picture changes per minute), zooming from settlement-level advances at 3:09–3:45 to strategic arrows at 5:51. The measured cut count of two shots is a segmentation artifact for this motion-graphic documentary, not its actual visual cadence.
