Why it works
Shot 1 gives the approaching subject and opening mark 53 frames before the first cut, then shot 2 changes the arena. The middle compresses action into sub-second views while reaction shots keep faces present; only 16 of 33 cuts sit within 1.5 frames of a tracked beat, so the edit uses both rhythm and movement. The large 204 px cap-height identity arrives in shot 34 at frame 678 and holds to the end without a fade.
