Why it works
The boxer grows inside a mostly fixed ring frame in shot 1, and a four-frame whip at frame 39 makes the physical threat cross the lens. The dark passage hides picture cuts at frames 61, 238, 342 and 384, so the color portrait run beginning at frame 796 feels earned; the first sustained launch in shot 21 releases it.
