Why it works
The apparent pickup is legible within shot 1, before any title, and the physical support is revealed by shot 3 at 7.46 s. Shot 5 sustains a 532-frame explanation through successive source-screen repair states; the bright isolated plate at frame 972 resets the visual problem before the destination composite. The final join lands on the hard cut at frame 1358.
