Why it works
The instrumental opening waits until about 21.2 s for its first sung word, making the miniature town and protagonist readable before the pressure begins. Internal hard cuts at frames 2283, 2355, 2411, 2518, 2589 and 2853 sharpen the private clue into an idea; communal shots 47–53 then give the repeated lyric visible payoff before the 22.88 s wide ending.
