Why it works
The opening effort plays without a cut until frame 172, so the performer's serious persona is clear before the phone selection in shots 3 and 5. The medium-to-mirror expansion across shots 6–7 makes the music's behavioral effect visible, then the return to the task in shot 8 earns the physical payoff before the three end-card states at frames 1367, 1391 and 1419.
