Why it works
A matching two-mode layout is visible from frame 0, while labels, counters and rings change inside shot 1 without adding edits. The sole hard cut at frame 176 moves into a darker, closer action composition; shot 2's stronger energy section and larger outcome type make that shift read as the payoff.
