Why it works
The fall is established before the close-up at frame 82, and shot 4 grows the face ×2.08 before a cut to the imagined celebration at frame 147. The film then expands through travel and arena scenes, before the cut at frame 591 returns to local play and the final field image closes the thought without a fade.
