Why it works
The first caption arrives at frame 40 inside a 112-frame opening shot, giving the odd physical exhibit time to register before its language becomes legible. Three practical exhibit cycles use signs, props and restrained human reactions, then shots 30–32 compress the callbacks ahead of the institutional reveal. The sound grid has no reliable pulse, so the solemn speech and picture events carry the pacing.
