Why it works
Shot 1 withholds a hard cut for 381 frames while changing what the light reveals. Three eight-frame details in shots 15–17 sharpen attention immediately before the clear hero in shot 18, and the identity appears only after the object has been inspected. The final picture fades from frame 1418 rather than ending on an abrupt card.
