Why it works
Shot 1 turns an ordinary laptop purchase into a portal within frames 0–139, ending at the first hard cut at frame 140. The film has five hard cuts at frames 140, 348, 393, 439 and 720, plus an 11-frame dissolve into shot 3 at frame 174 (plate 4). Shot 3 sustains escalation inside one 174-frame envelope, while shot 6 resolves the offers into a human scene, product page and large claim before the wordless return at frame 720.
