Why it works
The opening uses a familiar benefit at 0:07, then turns to the cost of prolonged isolation by 0:20. Although there are only 4.3 cuts/min, 76 changes within shots keep the illustrations advancing with the narration; the most-replayed 1:34.8–1:38.9 passage visualizes a shifting sense of self in a mirror. A move from brain effects around 1:50–2:14 to institutional scale at 3:08 and lasting consequences after 5:02 gives the lesson widening stakes.
