Why it works
The opening promises a changed world by 0:27–0:36, then a nine-second wordless montage resets attention before the evidence begins. At 1:20–1:50, a sequential bar-chart comparison turns ice-cover percentages into a sea-level and map consequence; the bar build at 1:23–1:33 is the measured excerpt’s most-replayed passage. Long map scenes then animate regional processes rather than relying on constant cuts.
