Why it works
The dated opening holds the dark title through frame 168 (5.60 s), then brightens at frame 169 (5.63 s), then shot 1 layers archive and audience demand. The rough-take reframe at frame 1133 exposes the studio, while short bars interrupt the long feature conversations. Shot 20's 980 frames let the failed wrap become the payoff.
