Why it works
The moving atlas establishes scale at 0:00, then narrows to the crossing and advancing leader by 0:10–0:21 without needing rapid cuts. Opposing portrait standards around 0:24–0:28 turn the geography into a conflict, and the 0:32–0:42 unit diagram makes the defeat visible. A return to the campaign map at 0:42 shows the consequence; the strongest replay marker at 0:06.5–0:07.0 coincides with the map approaching the crossing and a leader marker becoming prominent.
