Why it works
The first shot holds 301 frames and delays speech until about 5.68 s, giving the earnest launch setting time to feel real before the absurd reveal in shot 7. Most cameras remain locked while the physical character grows more intrusive across shots 8–24; shot 25 then holds for 934 frames so the background entrance and reluctant phone use pay off without another cut.
