Why it works
The dark submarine image holds through the first 16 seconds while a dated mission and its danger are narrated, creating a strong open loop. Across the measured six minutes, only 16 cuts are detected, but 128 graphic changes keep maps, documents and the machine cutaway evolving at about 24 picture changes per minute. A replay peak at 1:41.7–1:51.9 coincides with the move from polar geography to a labelled submarine diagram.
