Why it works
The opening grows out of black by about frame 34 but keeps its first measured boundary at frame 107, making a small reveal carry four seconds. The 0.98-second median shot and six internal hard cuts create a dense proof middle, while shot 27 devotes 242 frames to the road-and-mark resolve; the last picture fades from frame 1119.
