Why it works
The film moves from four picture changes in its first three seconds to a real cliffside tracking result in shot 5, so hardware becomes proof quickly. Most action shots are short (1.00 s median), while shot 108 gives the montage a 505-frame black-card release. Only 18 of 107 transitions fall close to a beat, so visual action rather than the music grid drives the edit.
