Why it works
A three-frame split immediately pairs the characters, then the practical phone insert makes the premise tangible. The long assistant holds in shots 10 and 12 gain a curve, two option cards and measured focus changes, so the late feature reveal in shots 16–17 feels like a payoff to the conversation. Only 3 of 17 shot cuts meet the tracked beat, reinforcing the dialogue's comic timing.
