Why it works
The film opens in a complete room at f0 and waits until f183 to isolate the speaker, giving the viewer time to inspect the setting and performance. Four measured boundary cuts and two internal cuts keep the faces readable while the personal reversal in shot 4 leads to a wordless shot 5; the shared table arrives at f1085 without a closing fade.
