Why it works
The wide editor view establishes control and result before the first shot's ×2.79 pointer-follow push, so the crop has a clear destination. The first hard cut waits until frame 1041, then shots 2–4 make the cursor choice and its visible result legible before a four-frame whip returns to the editor at frame 1371.
